Crossroads of Innovation
The freeway of innovative industry is travelled by a wide diversity of travellers: Educators, Researchers, Entrepreneurs and Goverments. However, while all of those actors follow their own specific routes, collaboration could yield greater speed and superior results. Within the context of this metaphor, the Kennisalliantie Z-H acts as a freeway intersection that streamlines and harmonizes the passing traffic to promote innovation. The result: The creation of new alliances and product-market combinations that can give rise to new innovative industry in the province of South Holland.
What is the purpose of the Kennisalliantie Z-H?
The ambition of the province of South Holland is to become a leader in innovative business. The potential is fully present: the province of South Holland has enough entrepreneurs, research institutions, educational institutions and government institutions with an existing head start in the knowledge arena. The purpose of the Kennisalliantie Z-H is to add further impetus to innovative industry in the province of South Holland. While, obviously, the entrepreneurs, the research institutions, educational institutions and the government institutions are already operating innovatively in their own respective fields, real progress in the knowledge economy demands real cooperation. There are numerous interfaces between the four actors; however, in practice, it would appear that the activities of the Educators, Explorers, Enterprise, and Executives of the authorities are not optimally harmonized. Ideas are only ideas. Plans are nothing but plans. There is a critical shortage of concrete projects. The aim of the Kennisalliantie Z-H is to bring the group of actors together. Literally and figuratively. The idea: If marketers, producers, developers, inventors and researchers were able to find one another, and if they spoke the same language, the existing thresholds could be removed. The initiatives of the Kennisalliantie Z-H generate inspiring interaction between the four partners. And it also creates new initiatives within each of the group of actors.
